Our Co-Founders at the skinny on wellness, Kim O'Neill, Physical Therapist, M.S.P.T., and Rick Bernard, Licensed Acupuncturist, dedicated over 60 years working at the top HMO in the country and at the Center for Complementary Medicine, Rick's private practice. Widely recognized leaders and clinical specialists in their respective fields, their patients also awarded them with Top Member-Service Satisfaction scores year-after-year.  

Unexpectedly, then, they suffered from chronic medical conditions around the same timeframe. Both were fortunate to be able to retire early.

 

Once back on their feet, they teamed up and chose to help others build wealth and security through homeownership as REALTORS®. But they never lost their passion for healthcare and wellness. And, with their own chronic medical problems, they experienced many hurdles they saw their patients go through, including poor access, rising costs of receiving treatment, and limited to no coverage of effective, alternative care. 

Kim and Rick knew it was time to take action. The birth of the skinny on wellness was solidified. Making preventative wellness care available and affordable.
